The Arcane Forest

Tree canopies split to allow rays of warm sunshine to light up sections of the ground, illuminating the misty air that veils many plants and small animals. It's tranquil, and safe - bar the perfidious humans and notorious creatures that may stalk this place. Are any of your most deceitful characters hidden away here?

The cottage that is shown in the picture is one you do not want to enter without a means of scheming against good. Only the treacherous and especially escorted can find themselves welcome, here.

"Right this way, sweetie."

BOL-Reno was leading BOL-McGee in the forest, mindful of where they stepped. True, he wasn't the greatest navigator in a forest, but he found his way around, and, soon enough, the two were standing outside the door of a bizarrely built cottage. BOL-Reno wrapped an arm around his girlfriend's waist, smiling down at her.

"Here we go," he said.

BOLMcGee tilts her head, "Hmm....Sweetie?" She chuckles, "Now I'm really suspicious, exactly who are we meeting?" She steps closer to Reno, looking around curiously. "Interesting place really."

“A few people, including a rather malicious ring-leader.”

BOL-Reno then knocked on the door. There was a long, dead silence coming from the cottage. The birds and natural noises that filled the air seemed to horribly reflect the quietness of the cottage. For a moment, BOL-Reno’s eyes hinted doubt, though he suppressed the feeling.

Abruptly, the door flung open, and a female dressed in ragged clothing stepped out. She had thick, red hair; a face that, despite its oiliness and lack of make-up, was quite attractive - yet had harsh, unforgiving icy-blue eyes. In her right hand, she held a Colt Dragoon Revolver, pointed directly at McGee. Her stance reflected one of a powerful male shooter, even though she was small in stature.

To those from, perhaps, KOZ or CK, she would look like a roughened up, colder version of Ariel.

“Who be she?” she questioned BOL-Reno in some thick hybrid accent, “And why are ye bringin’ her here?”

“She’s McGee. My girlfriend,” BOL-Reno replied, reflecting the fiery female’s glare, “now, put your gun away, Red, and let us in.”

“Ye best not be speakin’ teh me lo’ike dat,” the female snarled. “I ain’t somethin’ ye can just push around.” She then address McGee, refusing to step aside, “Ye two better be provin’ dat yer here for business, not for burnin’ de place down. Dat clear?”

"Trust me, I'm not a pyro." McGee flips her hair over her shoulder, keeping a steady gaze on Red. "plus, I make it a point about not burning people on a first meeting." She gives a smile, chuckling, "We come in peace and all that jazz."

Red seemed a bit bewildered by the words that BOL-McGee was using. 'Pyro'; 'jazz'... she disliked being so out-of-date with 'new' words. She stood firm, however, and opened her mouth to give an angry retort, when a male voice cut her off.

"Let them in, Red," it said, low yet foreboding. A tall dark figure swept in behind Red: it was CK-Loki, "I made this place to get recruits, not for you to scare them off."

Red swirled around, glaring up at him. "Oi'm just protectin' de bloodeh cottage! Ye best be grateful for me work!" Despite her outburst, she shoved the revolver away and stomped into the cottage. CK-Loki raised an eyebrow at her, before looking to BOL-Reno and McGee.

"Come in," he said, a small devious smile on his face. He stepped backwards, gesturing for them to enter.

McGee blinks, hearing the conversation and sighs, rolling her eyes slightly. She glances to Loki and nods before entering, looking around, "Nice place...."

BOL-Reno followed McGee, eying the empty room, with only one built chair and a pile of wood for furnishing sceptically. CK-Loki arched an eyebrow at McGee, apparently not truly agreeing with her either.

"If one were to consider that it has been built in three weeks by I, this Reno and that fire of a woman," he gestured with an effortless sway of a gloved hand towards a glaring Red, "one will agree to your statement.

I am Loki," he introduced himself, offering a hand for McGee to shake. "I have decided to create this secluded cottage for the means of bringing together minds that would, otherwise, be ruthlessly oppressed because we think with less emotion. I understand that Reno has invited you to join it?"

McGee glances down at his hand and shrugs, shaking it, "he has mentioned it, yes." she removes her hand from his and clasps them behind her back, "what exactly is your purpose?"

CK-Loki observed how BOL-McGee seemed... casual, in how he shook hands. He decided to alter his approach slightly, as a result, and putting his hands on his waist. "Really, my view for this is that we'll take a role of leadership in this leader-less land. King, dictator, president, parliment - whatever political label that we may end up falling under," he paused, "it's greedy, yes - but there are too many idiots and murderers around here for us to leave this place lawless."

"Mo'ight have to use some force to get where we want to be," Red commented, standing with cross arms in a rigid, confident stance. "But Oi personally never dought dat was ever a bad ding."

McGee shrugs, glancing around to the people in the room, "Eh, sounds good to me. I've been quite bored stuck in the goody-two-shoes land." She nods, "What exactly do you need?"

BOL-Reno smirked at McGee, hand reaching to take her hand. CK-Loki smiled as well, quite proud that he had gotten someone else on their side.

"What are you skills?" he asked. "I heard that you were an assassin for a circus. What exactly do you profess in?"

Red pulled up her trousers and then scratched her cheek, before she strode into the conversation. With an open posture; hands on her hips, she waited for her chance to speak.

"Well, I control the wind and air, I like using my knives though." She takes Reno's hand, watching Loki, "And I also enjoy playing pranks on people every now and then." She smirks at Reno here, chuckling.

BOL-Reno smirked and let a small chuckle go. His thumb caressed McGee's hand as Pandora-Red began to speak.

"Yer more of a fo'ighter, den?" she looked to McGee. "And, ye got powers. Fancy. Oi personally would put her under offence and defence," Red addressed a frowning Loki.

"Perhaps. Or, she may fair better as a spy. There are many clones of her: she would blend in well," CK-Loki replied, earning a glare from Red.

"She can work with me, then," BOL-Reno finally spoke, "recruiting and spying. Though, she is a pretty nifty fighter. What would you like to do, sweetie?" he asked McGee.

McGee shrugs, "Anywhere, honestly. I enjoy the fighting and I like to sneak around." She chuckles, grinning now, "Put me wherever you need me, Anything's better than just sitting around."

She glances to Reno, tilting her head. She watches him for a few moments, seemingly trying to figure out something.

BOL-Reno caught McGee's look, and his eyes seemed to sour with suspicion.

"Perhaps you can assist us in gathering a few more allies, then," CK-Loki concluded, "and, when our numbers grow, we can then determine what your next job will be."

McGee blinks and then smiles, that was the Reno she knew. Alright, he wasn't abducted by aliens or replaced with a clone or something. She squeezes his hand, looking back at Loki. "Alright then, sounds like a lot more fun than anything else!" ^_^

BOL-Reno squeezed McGee's hand back, but with noticeable hesitation. He watched her for a moment with a frown, before his eyes shifted to CK-Loki.

"Then it is settled," the black-haired man raised a slender finger, pointing to the exit. "Go back to the others, and carefully pick out future allies. I will trust that you both are able to do so within striking alarm, and with swiftness. If not," he turned his palm upwards, a ball of raging fire being set alight above it. His dark green eyes met the pair's with a firm gaze, "I will make sure that you regret ever breathing."

"And get some fo'ighters," came the domineering voice of Red. She had her hands on her hips, and was clearly becoming restless, "Oi ain't goin' to fo'ight some magical people all bo'y meself."

( XD XD She does, it just surprised her a bit. XD )

McGee raises an eyebrow at Loki and the fire, then giggles, "Alright, fine, but no need to get all dramatic, you know."

She looks to Red, nodding, "There seems to be a lot of fighters in the room...I'll search out and find a few."

CK-Loki smirked darkly at McGee. "I don't mean to be dramatic. I mean for you to understand the consequences."

"Yeah, compare de amount we have, and de amount dat we don't have," Red crossed her arms, frowning. "Oi think we need a lot more."

BOL-Reno began to slowly pull BOL-McGee towards the door with impatience, casting a smile of sorts to the redhead and green-eyed stern man. "We'll get going, then. The next time you see us, we’ll have more people on our side."

Red stalked along the forest path, her vivid auburn hair tied back into a ponytail. She scoured the area for people, but there was no one. She felt alone... isolated, even.

And then there was some yapping. Cursing, Red halted and rotates to where the noise came from. A small, grey dog wearing a black and white wig raced up to her. He was barking, but he really did not look scary.

"What o'is o'it?!" Red snapped, lifting her hands up with an incredulous frown. "Stupid dog - ye ought te get out of me way before o'I kick ye to another uno'iverse!"

Flint growled. "Leave! This is my territory!"

Red jumped a bit. "Ye can speak? Of course - ain't dat weird comin' from dis place. Dis ain't yer forest, pup."

"It is!" Flint insisted.

Sleipnir and Melanie walked in here. From a distance, the sound of two people arguing could be heard...

Melanie looked around in awe, the happy girly she was before hearing two people argue"Other people are here!"she whispered to Sleipnir, moving a little closer to where the noise came from.

Sleipnir puffed. Great. Juuuust great. He went through the forest with Melanie, before the two cane across a redheaded woman shouting at a little grey dog wearing a wig.

"Leave my territory!" the dog yapped.

"Dis ain't yer place!" the woman yelled.

Melanie blinked. Another dog with a wig? What is this world?"Should we go talk to them?"she whispered to Sleipnir, although judging by his face he wouldn't like that idea.
